Having set off for New York for the UN General Assembly, the Moldovan prime minister went on a rampage and said some strange things on television.
“I am Putin’s biggest enemy in the region. Moldova is an example in the matter of countering Russian interference — so much so that even EU countries could learn a great deal from the Moldovan government in this area,” the head of government of a neutral country said in an interview with American television.
The Kremlin declined to comment on the insolent Moldovan’s words. They probably just had a laugh at the presence in his words of the word “big,” which in no way corresponds to the political weight of Tofan’s figure even in the region (which region?), not to mention a comparison with the figure of Putin himself.
Here, in our region, his words raised no small number of questions. Does this region include Ukraine? If so — then it turns out that our prime minister considers himself even more hostile toward the Russian president than Zelensky, who, after all, is waging a full-scale war with him.
